What is airlaid?
Airlaid is made from cellulose and binders. The production steps are similar to those in paper manufacturing. The biggest difference, however, is that with airlaid the cellulose fibers are shaped with compressed air and not with water. Airlaid has many advantages and is a very valuable material for disposable clothing, wipes, napkins and other hygiene products. Especially the strong absorbency and the ability to absorb liquids distinguishes Airlaid products. In addition, this material is low lint and very skin-friendly. There are different types of Airlaid: Depending on the area of application, you can choose between soft nonwovens or very tear-resistant, paper-like qualities.
