PU work gloves from Franz Mensch
Abrasion-resistant, lightweight and inexpensive: work gloves with PU coating offer a first-class price-performance ratio. The gloves are dipped in so-called polyurethane (short: PU). PU is a plastic and ideal as a coating for gloves. Like a protective layer, it makes the gloves more robust and thus more durable. PU work gloves are noticeably lighter than comparable gloves with nitrile or latex coating. PU is a synthetic material that is hard-wearing, durable and permeable to air. Your advantage: a pleasant skin climate and a high level of comfort.
PU assembly gloves are available in various designs:
- 1/4-coated: The palm and fingertips of the work gloves are coated with PU. These parts are usually particularly stressed. Therefore, a PU coating here provides more grip, protection and abrasion resistance. The entire back of the hand is free and elastic.
- 3/4-coated: Palm and large parts (3/4) of the back of the hand are dipped in PU. This variant is more abrasion resistant and offers more protection for the hand. The glove shaft and part of the back of the hand are uncoated.
- 4/4-coated: Fully coated work gloves have fingers, palm and back of hand dipped with PU.
Areas of application for PU-coated work gloves
Due to their properties, work gloves with PU coating are ideal for crafts, repairs, assembly work or gardening. They comply with EN 388 and protect very well against mechanical risks such as abrasion.
Lightweight: Why are PU-coated gloves so favorable?
The favorable price is due to the manufacturing process and the material. A polyurethane coating can be applied much thinner than nitrile or latex, for example. This saves raw material, ensures a favorable price and makes the work gloves pleasantly light. Another advantage: a thin coating offers improved fingertip feel.
Special use: food safe PU work gloves
Strict hygiene rules apply in the food industry. For example, work gloves must also be food-safe. Franz Mensch has its own product series for this purpose: "Allfood". This offers you special products that are approved for working with food and direct contact with food. These include the PU-coated fine knit gloves Allfood PU. These work gloves have a water-based PU coating and are therefore food safe. Whether greasy, oily or liquid foods: the Allfood work gloves are suitable for all types of food.
