The tips of the thumb, index finger and middle finger are carbon coated and thus enable the operation of touchscreens. Why touchscreen-enabled work gloves? Touchscreens do not work with normal work gloves. So that the gloves do not have to be taken off separately, Franz Mensch offers special touchscreen gloves for professionals. They are equipped with conductive carbon on the fingertips and thus enable the operation of capacitive screens. In addition, these gloves are approved as PPE and meet legal standards. PU is very durable and yet lightweight. PU coating does not weigh down the glove and allows a secure grip. Especially when working with dry objects on construction sites or in industry, the PU coated gloves are very suitable. How touchscreen gloves work? Touchscreens are touch-sensitive screens - also called capacitive screens in technical jargon. They are usually operated with bare fingers and are very common in smartphones or tablets. Capacitive technology works via detectors located underneath the display. These detectors detect the touch of your finger using electrical conductivity. Since most gloves are made of non-conductive, insulating materials, this does not work. The touches are not detected. To prevent this problem and avoid taking off the glove, there are special touchscreen gloves. Here, conductive carbon is sewn into the fingertips. In this way, conductivity is established and you operate touchscreens with your hand as usual.
