They are usually operated with bare fingers and are very common in smartphones or tablets. Capacitive technology works via detectors located underneath the display. These detectors detect the touch of your finger using electrical conductivity. Since most gloves are made of non-conductive, insulating materials, this does not work. The touches are not detected. To prevent this problem and avoid taking off the glove, there are special touchscreen gloves. Here, conductive carbon is sewn into the fingertips. In this way, conductivity is established and you operate touchscreens with your hand as usual.
