Materials: What cleaning cloths are made of
The quality of a good cleaning cloth is largely determined by the materials used. In our range you will find products made of microfibre, non-woven materials such as viscose or airlaid, as well as polyester - each material with specific properties that are ideal for different cleaning tasks.
Microfibre cloths are known for their high absorbency and their ability to remove the finest dirt particles. Microfibre cloths are particularly soft, which makes them ideal for delicate surfaces. At the same time, they are very robust and durable, so you can wash them and use them several times.
Non-woven cloths made of viscose or airlaid are characterised by their high strength, even when wet. They are extremely absorbent and are therefore particularly suitable for absorbing liquids.
Polyester cloths are particularly resistant to chemical cleaning agents and are therefore ideal for use in industry and trade. They are hard-wearing and retain their shape even after repeated use.
Which cleaning cloths are suitable for food areas?
Food-safe cleaning cloths are especially suitable for use in kitchens and the food industry. They are approved for direct contact with food, e.g. the Wiping cloths Light made of Airlaid. These cleaning cloths are for single use and are disposed of after use, minimising the risk of cross-contamination. They are also made from materials that do not release any harmful substances into the food.
At Franz Mensch, we attach great importance to offering you products made of high-quality materials that are both effective in use and durable and environmentally friendly. You always buy at favourable manufacturer prices that offer you first-class value for money.
Which cleaning cloths are best for delicate surfaces?
Microfibre cloths are particularly suitable for delicate surfaces as they are very soft. Make sure that the cloth is clean and free of particles that could damage the surface. It is also advisable to moisten the cloth slightly before use to increase the cleaning effect and minimise the risk of scratches.
Which cleaning cloths for the kitchen?
There are many different cleaning tasks in the kitchen, so it is advisable to have different types of cleaning cloths to hand. Microfibre cloths are also a good choice here, especially for smooth surfaces and stainless steel. For cleaning work surfaces, you can also use special kitchen cloths made of viscose or polyester, which are particularly absorbent. For heavier soiling, for example on the hob or in the oven, a dishwasher cleaner or sponge can be helpful. For washing and rinsing dishes, you will find efficient dishcloths, polishing cloths and microfibre cloths for the catering industry here in the shop. Make sure that the cloths are changed and cleaned regularly to ensure a hygienic environment in the kitchen.
Microfibre cloths are particularly suitable for cleaning stainless steel surfaces as they are soft and do not leave any scratches. Here are some options and tips for using cleaning cloths on stainless steel:
Microfibre cloths: these cloths are ideal for stainless steel as they are soft and do not scratch the surface. They effectively remove fingerprints, dust and dirt without leaving any residue. Be sure to rinse the cloth regularly and wash it when necessary to optimise the cleaning effect.
Which cleaning cloths for stainless steel?
Viscose cloths such as the Multi-purpose cloths Tetra Premium are ideal here. It cleans gently and without leaving streaks. Important: Do not use cloths with excessively coarse fibres or abrasive agents, as these can scratch the stainless steel surface. For optimum results, we recommend using the cloth with a suitable cleaning agent for stainless steel and polishing the surface with a dry cloth after cleaning. This will give you a streak-free shine and protect the stainless steel surface.
