Why respirators with a valve?
There are also respirators with an exhalation valve, which makes breathing much easier and more comfortable. A valve improves ventilation in the mask, lowers the temperature and reduces the build-up of moisture in the mask. However, they are only suitable for self-protection, as potential germs from the wearer could be released into the environment via the valve. When it comes to protection against infection, masks without a valve should be used, as they offer both external and self-protection.
