What must a cold protection glove be able to do?
Cold protection gloves are subject to EN 511, which covers three performance categories that a glove must pass:
• Protection against convention cold: This measures how well the glove insulates against slowly penetrating cold.
• Protection against contact cold: The resistance to cold in direct contact with ice or a cold object is assessed here.
• Water resistance: The penetration of water is measured after 30 minutes.
