Heat-resistant, cut-resistant, chemical-resistant and waterproof: The Burnguard Multi protective glove reliably protects against heat, hot liquids, dangerous chemicals and cuts. With its 4-fold protection, it can be used universally for various activities and is particularly suitable for food areas.

The Burnguard Multi heat protection glove is made of high-quality special fibres that make the glove extremely hard-wearing and tight. No matter whether hot water splashes, steam, oil or other liquids: The Burnguard Multi protects your hands and forearms from these dangers. In addition, the protective glove is cut-resistant (level 1) and can therefore be used for work with sharp-edged objects. Furthermore, the heat protection glove meets the requirements of EN 374 and is considered chemical protection of the highest level "Type A". Especially for cleaning work and when handling cleaning agents or solvents, a tight protective glove against chemicals is important.

The Burnguard Multi has been specially developed for daily use in professional kitchens and food production areas. It is durable and withstands heavy loads very well - up to 10 times more durable than protective gloves made of pure cotton. Especially for use in hygienic areas, the Burnguard Multi is equipped with the VaporGuard® barrier, which reduces the formation and spread of germs.

EN 407 specifies the requirements for a heat protection glove. There are six categories in which a heat protection glove must show what it can do.
 
Fire resistance: Here, the glove is exposed to a gas flame and measured as to how long the material burns or glows after the flame has been removed. 
Protection against contact heat: A glove must withstand direct contact with heat (100°C to 500°C) for at least 15 seconds. The temperature at which the inside of the glove does not heat up by more than 10°C is measured. 
Protection against convective heat: This is about slowly penetrating heat. The length of time a glove can delay the transfer of heat is measured.
 • Protection against radiant heat: The time is measured for how long a glove can delay the penetration of radiant heat.
 • Resistance to small splashes of molten metal: The number of molten metal droplets required to heat the glove material to a certain temperature is counted here. 
Resistance to molten metal: This measures how many grams of molten iron the test glove can withstand until it is punctured or ignites.
