SARS-CoV-2 antigen test kit II Medomics (LFIA)
The Corona rapid test from the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit II Medomics shows within a quarter of an hour whether someone is infected with the COVID-19 virus. This test is used for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 in human samples (in vitro) and fulfils the specifications of the RKI by a high reliability with a sensitivity of 96.94 % and a specificity of 99.10 % (2nd generation of tests and published in the Paul-Ehrlich list).
The Medomics rapid tests are continuously improved and further developed. The Corona rapid test from the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit II Medomics is already available in the fourth generation and detects omicron infections very reliably. The proven overall sensitivity of 75.86 % has already been submitted to the Paul Ehrlich Institute and will soon be published in their evaluation list.
The sample is taken by stick through the nose or throat and the rapid test should only be used by medically trained personnel. The tests should be stored at 2-30°C and have a shelf life of 24 months. The buffer solution has a shelf life of 2 months after opening.
Please note that the rapid tests from the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit II Medomics may currently only be performed by physicians or trained medical personnel.
