The biggest issue with conventional paper cups is the plastic coating on the inside. This coating ensures leak-proof and food-safe use, but unfortunately it prevents sustainable disposal. Even alternative bio cups with plant-based PLA coatings are environmentally friendly in production, but still face disposal issues due to the lack of composting facilities.
