This refers to plastic fibers that are microscopically fine - much finer than fibers of animal or vegetable origin. Polyamide (PA) is mainly known under the brand name "Nylon" and is one of the most important synthetic fibers for clothing and gloves. Polyamide is produced by the melt spinning process. It is very light, fine and above all elastic. The material does not absorb moisture and is resistant to bacteria and fungi, as it does not provide them with a breeding ground. Thus, products made of polyamide are ideal for hygienic areas because they prevent the spread of germs. In addition, polyamide is very robust, tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant and weather-resistant.
