The Flamestar Puppet heat protection gloves protect the wearer in direct contact with materials that are up to 250 °C hot. The heat protection glove is fully lined with cotton on the inside for additional comfort. The Flamestar Puppet is made of robust canvas material with a special coating and the long arm cuffs also ensure protection for the forearms. It can be easily wiped clean, is asbestos-free and has the property of being non-flammable. Excellent for use when frying, cooking, baking and grilling.

EN 407 specifies the requirements for a heat protection glove. There are six categories in which a heat protection glove must show what it can do.

• Fire resistance: Here, the glove is exposed to a gas flame and measured as to how long the material burns or glows after the flame has been removed.
• Protection against contact heat: A glove must withstand direct contact with heat (100°C to 500°C) for at least 15 seconds. The temperature at which the inside of the glove does not heat up by more than 10°C is measured.
• Protection against convective heat: This is about slowly penetrating heat. The length of time a glove can delay the transfer of heat is measured.
• Protection against radiant heat: The time is measured for how long a glove can delay the penetration of radiant heat.
• Resistance to small splashes of molten metal: The number of molten metal droplets required to heat the glove material to a certain temperature is counted here.
• Resistance to molten metal: This measures how many grams of molten iron the test glove can withstand until it is punctured or ignites.
Canvas is a particularly strong fabric made of cotton. It is very durable and therefore ideal as a material for protective gloves and clothing. Canvas is extremely robust and can withstand mechanical stress very well and for a very long time due to its special weaving technique. Canvas can also be used as a special material for oven gloves or heat protection products. In addition to protection and durability, gloves made of canvas are very comfortable to wear. Canvas is breathable, very kind to the skin and prevents sweating because it transports moisture to the outside.
