Organic from A to Z: The Mocca coffee-to-go cups are an all-round sustainable product. Both the cups themselves and the packaging are made from renewable and industrially compostable materials. The 1-walled organic paper cups are made of kraft paper - the most stable type of paper. Only FSC® Mix-certified paper from environmentally friendly sources is used to produce the coffee cups. To make the organic coffee cups leak-proof and wet-proof, they are equipped with a vegetable coating made of corn starch on the inside. This so-called PLA is plastic-free and the sustainable alternative to PE coating. In addition, the cups are packed in a hygienic organic bag made of PLA material.

100% organic: The industrially compostable food boxes are made purely from natural and biodegradable materials. The box itself is made of kraft paper and is particularly stable. The inside of the box and the transparent window on the top are made of PLA (corn starch). As an inner coating, PLA ensures more impermeability and grease resistance - similar to standard boxes with PE coating. As a viewing window, the transparent organic film ensures that the contents of the organic food box can be easily always seen. PLA is a type of organic film that is obtained from plant-based raw materials and is industrially compostable. Corn starch was used for the organic food boxes from NatureStar.

Kraft paper is the most stable type of paper. It is made from particularly long softwood fibers, usually pine or spruce, and is coated on the inside with PLA. NATUREStar food packaging from the Franz Mensch range is made from pure virgin fibers and is food-safe. Kraft paper is ideal for cups as its smooth surface provides a pleasant feel when drinking.
